Home from Jacksonville

I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Jacksonville "Seven Sisters" quilt show last week. I tagged along with Karen and Sharen from Happy Apple Quilts

We drove up on Tuesday, set-up on Wednesday, and got to visit with a lot of quilters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Note to self: working for vendors at a quilt show is A LOT of work - but I sure had fun and some GREAT company - thank you ladies for allowing me to be the 3rd wheel on your trip to Jax!

Karen and Sharen in the process of setting up their booth.

Nan Moore was signing her book "Machine Freehand Patterns" at the Sew and Quilt Shop and I had a chance to run over there and scoop up a copy! Nan signed extra's so you can get them online through the link above.

Kelly (the manager) was kind enough to snap a photo of Nan and I (that's me in the apron). Thank you Kelly for EVERYTHING!! ~grin~

There were so many GREAT vendors!! I visited The Pin Peddlers every day of the show and took advantage of their "show special". They have a huge selection of pins - check them out at PinPeddlers Tommy and Audrey were so nice. Besides pins, I also bought a pattern from them for a "Show Pin Quilt" - it is adorable!!

Karen and Sharen headed up to Virginia for another show and I headed to Georgia to see my grandbaby, Brooke (and her mom, Stefi, too). Stay tuned for new photos of the Brooke-meister!

Hugs,
Barb

It appears you had a great time! I'm not real good about keeping up with my blog either, but I'm so glad you got to go to Jax AND see the baby! Looking forward to next week -- hugs,
